Recruitment in progress… : Join our Team at Klub Kultury Mydlniki

Do the words Creativity, Culture, Integration, and Community speak to you? They spoke to the five of us — and that’s exactly why we joined the IntegrART Project. Now, we’re looking for a sixth member to complete our team. Maybe it’s you — ready to join as a volunteer at Klub Kultury Mydlniki?

Our first encounter with Klub Kultury Mydlniki was as sweet as it sounds: apple pie and dancing. It was during Integration Time, when we explored all the cultural clubs involved in the project. For many of us, it remains one of the most memorable experiences so far — we dressed up in traditional Polish attire, shared laughs, and were warmly welcomed by the club team. Even though we don’t spend all our time at each other’s clubs, every visit is meaningful. Each time, we’re greeted with kindness and treated like a part of team.

As part of the IntegrART Project, we get to plan and carry out activities with two main goals: Integration & Creation. Some of our recurring events include language classes, international conversation meetups and the International Board Games Event — a tradition passed down from IntegrART 6 that we’re proud to continue. On top of that, we also organize special one-time events like a gingerbread workshop and an art exhibition to celebrate Women’s Day.

Want a clearer idea of what a volunteer can do at Klub Kultury Mydlniki? Here’s a snapshot of what the previous volunteer achieved over the past six months, in collaboration with her coordinator and the club team:

Italian Language Club – weekly Italian lessons for the community

Winter Workshops for Kids – two weeks of fun, hands-on activities during the winter break

Carnival Mask Workshop – creating colourful masks in the spirit of the season

Express Yourself Through Watercolours – a creative mental health support group for teenagers

Jazz w Mydlnikach – jazz concerts paired with exhibition openings

Cartoline da Cracovia – a weekly photography column shared on the club’s social media

Now that we’re halfway through the project, we’ve all found confidence in our roles and settled comfortably into our hosting organizations. We’ve grown close, we support each other, and we enjoy working together. But that doesn’t mean you should feel intimidated about joining a team that’s already formed. On the contrary — your fresh energy could become the spark that makes our team even better. You wouldn’t be filling a gap — you’d be adding something entirely new.

This project is financed by the European Solidarity Corps program: you will get accommodation (flat with three rooms in the city center), transportation (also city card), language support, monthly: money for food and pocket money.

Because IntegrART is more than just another ESC project.
We’re part of IntegrART 8, and as the number suggests, many volunteers have come before us. This project has helped each of us grow, learn, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of its story — and we’ll always be grateful for what the IntegrART team has created.
