KALEJDOSKOP festival by IntegrART6. How was it

In August IntegrART team prepared a big art festival named KALEJDOSKOP. The event happened in Dworek Białoprądnicki. It was a great day full of positive energy. We’d like to share some details about the festival and what we prepared for our guests!

Art can be in different forms and shapes and it solely depends on the artist’s decisions. Art can make us happy, excited, sad, or angry. It can make our day a little better and sometimes it can completely change the direction of our life. During our festival, the goal was to celebrate these art differences and hopefully integrate ART more into the everyday lives of others. At the end, we had a very lovely evening with locals as well as foreign guests from other countries! It was amazing to see such diversity, interest from people and at the same time have fun altogether!

At Kalejdoskop, Tereza held a workshop for kids. The activity was so nice that she immediately caught their attention and some of our little guests didn’t want to leave! Some other activities of Kalejdoskop included videography workshop, writing class and of course – dancing! Guests got to know how to become better at content creating, did some writing exercises and danced to traditional folk motives. Talk about the diversity of art! 🙂

The festival was finished with a great concert of Polish indie band with English songs called Brighter Colours. It was a very lovely ending to the beautiful day.

One of the special additions to the festival was an exhibition named „Kalejdoskop: Different stories, common passions”. For it, we invited 10 artists from Poland, Bulgaria, England, Ukraine and more countries who are united by their passion for creating. The goal of the exhibition was to show how Kraków offers a platform for many creatives around the world, no matter the background, country or type of art they represent. Ira, Anastasiia and Avgoustis worked on the interview, photoshoots and video content of the exhibition. You can check the interviews on our YouTube channel.

We have more exciting things coming up for our last weeks as volunteers, but Kalejdoskop was a great way for us to show what we’ve learnt during this year and to thank people who supported us along the way! Take a look at some snippets of the festival in this video prepared by Ira!

The event was co-financed by the European Union as part of the IntegrART vol.6 (European Solidarity Corps) project.
